What is the Research Hypothesis

The title of the Website might be confusing if you are not familiar with statistical data analysis terms which it is ideal for a Predictive Analysis Project to start with a H1 Research Hypothesis according to Shuttleworth (2008):

  • The H1 research hypothesis is the theory that is generated by the number of means that supports the research statement. The research statement should be “testable, falsifiable and realistic” (para. 3) for the research outcome or experiment.  The research hypothesis is preceded by a framed problem or question.

The hypothesis is either confirmed as H1 or rejected as H0 according to Blakstad (2008):

  • The raw data is processed to obtain output data which is organized data sets.   Meaning is derived from analyzing the data set which your original assumption might change after receiving the results and you might determine a different conclusion.  The assumptions of a normal distribution may be obtained by using mean as a parameter that can help to characterize the data distribution.

The hypothetical data analysis provides a research statement and analysis for a “demonstrated” Real-World issue, problem, or question, which this Website will include the results of a Data Science Predictive Analysis Project. The Raw Data, Mean, and Normal Distribution terms are clarified in later posts.
